Our Mission
To improve maternal health outcomes and promote sustainable well-being for women and families in rural Benin through education, community partnerships, and evidence-based interventions.
Our Vision
A world where every woman in rural Benin has access to the knowledge, resources, and support needed for healthy pregnancies and thriving families.
Our Story
Some years ago in Tanzoun, Benin, my family was set for a happy Christmas. Then tragedy struck. My aunt, a loving mom, died hours after childbirth, bleeding out without proper care. We lost her forever, and our family hasn’t been the same since. That pain fuels Benin Mamas. Too many moms in my country share her fate. The World Health Organization (WHO) says Benin’s maternal death rate hit 523 per 100,000 births in 2020. This is over 500 moms lost yearly, often to preventable causes like bleeding.
We are pushing back. Benin Mamas delivers pregnancy education, birth kits, and postpartum help. Additionally, we guide girls to avoid teen pregnancies and empower women to demand better care. No mom should die needlessly. Donate now! Your gift saves lives. Join us to change Benin’s story.
