About Us
Benin Mamas is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving maternal and child health in underserved communities across Benin, West Africa. Founded by a public health advocate with deep roots in Benin and a vision for global equity, our work is grounded in the belief that no woman should walk the journey of motherhood alone. We exist to bridge the gap between critical health resources and the women who need them most, especially in rural villages where access to prenatal care, health education, and safe delivery support remains limited. Through a community-centered approach, Benin Mamas provides health education, maternal kits, emotional support, and advocacy for women before, during, and after childbirth. We also empower adolescent girls through reproductive health programs and mentorship, helping them make informed decisions about their bodies and futures. Our team is based in Benin, but our support network spans continents. With operations rooted in local partnerships and funding driven by our based outreach, we are building a global village of care, one mother, one child, and one community at a time. At Benin Mamas, we believe that when mothers thrive, communities grow stronger.
